by office ASAP.  Be sure & have name on them with phone number.  

Committee is getting pretty excited about the theme, decorations, and other things.

Thanks to all that showed up and helped in the Steer Validation, especially the AG teachers & parents.  Everything went well. Thanks again to Dr. Patton and Kathy for letting us use the clinic again this year.  We did start earlier and we think that everyone would agree it went a lot smoother.  Good job everyone!

 In order to compete for county awards or scholarships you need a recordbook.  Please come by the office if you are eligible for the Bronze, Silver, Gold Awards or the 4-H Booster Scholarship

and pick up forms to complete and turn in with your recordbook.  Call the office if you need to know criteria for the awards.

4-H COUNCIL MEETING - DECORATION COMMITTEE

The committee is meeting at 7 pm, Monday, June 18th  at the

Extension Office.  Need to discuss decorations for Achievement 

Night.  Also we will be talking about the meal.

4-H RECORDBOOK

 Record books are an important part to maintaining your 4-H project. 

This year, you will enter your Recordbook on line.   

We know some have had issue trying to do recordbook on line.

We are checking on problems as people let us know or as we find issue with the change.

You can still turn in recordbooks on June 21st.

DISTRICT HORSE SHOW

The District Horse Show will be June 22^nd – June 23^rd  

at the Brackenridge Event Center in Edna, Texas. 

Registration on Friday 3 pm and Saturday is 8:30 am.

MAJOR SHOW STEER VALIDATION

Corrected time 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM

 This year Major Show Steer Validation will be on Wednesday, June 20^th 

 from 3:00-7:00 pm at the Karnes City Veterinary Hospital.

4-H COUNCIL MEETING HELD

We had a great 4-H Council Meeting this past Tuesday.  

Officers for the year 2012-2013 were elected.  

The planning for the 4-H Achievement Night had a lot of good ideals and 

the theme was chosen. They also selected a decorating committee and they will 

be meeting on, Monday, June 18^th.  at 7pm at the Extension Office.

The exhibitor does not have to be present at validation, but a parent or legal 

guardian must be present to sign the paperwork.  All steers must be validated on 

June 20^th    unless a major emergency arises.
