Reminder: Recordbook Training....New System
There is a new online recordbook system this year!! This will provide
youth to store information online, in a safe & secure portal. It is
very similar to the old recordbook system, just being online!!!!
I will be holding a training Sunday March 4 at 3 pm at the Extension office in the NEW ANNEX building.

County Contests
All contest information has been posted to the Karnes County website. This includes rules for the Photography Contest, Fashion Show Contest, Story Board Design Contest, and Round Up.
Photography contest allows you to submit your photos to the county office to be judged & then submitted to the District Contest. County will require that all photos be dropped off by March 1 to the Extension Office. You must submit an 8x11 and an e-copy of the photo. The photo can be emailed to Meredith or brought on cd or other media storage to the Extension Office. District Photography contest will be judged online.
Fashion Show contest has two categories. The buying category allows a youth to purchase an outfit and justify its quality, price, etc. The construction category allows the youth to construct a garment, etc and submit for competition. Both categories require paperwork. Read complete rules for details. District Fashion Show is April 28 at the Victoria Mall in Victoria.
Story Board Contest is geared towards youth who have a genuine interest in the fashion industry. It allows them to create a design from a given theme. Read complete rules for details. Story Boards will be judged March 1 at the county then proceed to district contest April 14. (You don't need to be present to compete)
Round Up is for the youth who loves to stand up and speak their mind and have a little fun. This contest contains all educational presentations (method demonstrations), Share the fun (vocal, poetry, choreographed routine, etc), and public speaking events. Read complete rules for details. District Round up will be at Blinn College in Brenham April 14.
